Another Random Scan!

Hey all, it's X and I'm still uber busy, which means I'll be posting another random scan from my collection of... well, random scans. I should have my weekly New Comics Day post up for tomorrow, and hopefully I'll be able to get a few reviews from last week's books up and posted by Thursday, although I make no promises! Hey all, X here with some 'splaining to do... I am completely SWAMPED with homework this week(up until early next week), which is why I wasn't able to respond to any of the comments left for me yesterday. I WILL respond to those comments as soon as I'm a bit ahead of the game schoolwork-wise. With me being so backed up with my schoolwork, I wasn't able to get any reviews done either... So for today(and probably tomorrow) I'm just going to post a random scan, and leave it at that. I figure by Wednesday or Thursday things should be close to back to normal around here, but for now, we go with the scans. So that's it from me, until tomorrow, X out.CLASSIC Young Justice!!!

We're gonna party like it's... 1500!?

I was just checking out my blog stats and I came to the realization that this is the 1,499th time I've posted to this blog... After several hours of difficult thinking, I realized that meant my next post was going to be #1,500! Yeah, I'm quite the math whiz. Much like most comic book fans, I'm a sucker for anniversary issues, since they're usually special. So I'm kind of thinking that my 1,500th post should be special too.

But what to do... Well, since this is a comic book blog, maybe I should look to comic books for the answer. Let's see, I'm not going to marry my best friend's girl(Fantastic Four #300) or tell my secret origin(Silver Surfer #50). I'm not going to give anybody a massive stroke(New X-Men #150), nor get decapitated(New X-Men #150 again)... I also don't plan on having my adamantium torn out(X-Men #25), dispersing my molecules all over the planet(X-Man #75), and don't worry, I'm not going to run around killing all of my former friends and co-workers(Green Lantern #50). Then again... Nah.

So what exactly is left to do? Um, I guess I could just post lots and lots of pretty, pretty pictures. That sounds like fun! So unless I have one of those mercurial mood swings I'm prone to, that's the plan. Post #1,500 will contain 1,500 different pictures from various comic books that I like for one reason or another... Hmm, 1,500 is a REALLY large number... Hows about we go with 15 pictures instead. Yeah, I think that's a tad more workable... So that's it then. My next post should contain a whole bunch of my favorite, memorable or iconic comic scans. There will probably be a few reposted pictures, but if you're new to the blog or have a really bad memory, then this post will be full of brand new pictures for you! That's going to have to do it for now, until post #1,500, X out.

Talking about comics, blogs and stuff.

Hey there X-Maniacs, I don't have any new reviews to put up tonight, but I wanted to do a post regardless. Today was the first day of the fall semester for me, so my review schedule may become a bit more erratic then usual until I'm settled in. I'll still try to post at least three or four reviews a week, but it all depends on the homework/study load from this current batch of classes.

So that's the news on the personal front. Let's move over to the blogging front next. First off, my last post was number 300 for the year, which is pretty impressive. Even more impressive then that though is the fact that this post is the 1,400th one I've published on this blog! 1,400 posts... That's A LOT of inane rambling! On top of that, this strange little blog is rapidly approaching its 2 year anniversary. You can be sure that I'll have something special planned for that day.

But enough about this blog, I also wanted to hit on something else tonight. You see, me and JT(whose blog you can find here)were chatting over at his blog LATE this past Saturday, and somehow we decided to put together a mock Barry Allen worship blog... So at like 3 o'clock Saturday night/Sunday morning the All Hail Saint Barry Allen blog was born. So far the site has been a real blast to work on, so I'd definitely recommend checking it out. You have my utter insanity coupled with JT's awesome sense of humor. What's better then that?! If you like it then I take full credit for coming up with the idea. If not, well then blame JT! :P

And now we finally get to the comic book front. I should have a Picto-Review up for the Shadowland: Power Man #1 comic up tomorrow(which was surprisingly good!). Depending on a few factors(homework, how tired I am, etc)I might also try to put up a review for Shadowland: Daughters of the Shadow #1. After that I'll have a New Comic Day post up for Wednesday. I'm also just about done with the second Invincible hardcover(which I'm LOVING!). It's SO good that I placed an order on Amazon for the next two Invincible hardcovers(3 & 4). If you like super-hero comics, then read Invincible! Besides that, I finished off the Spider-Man: American Son trade today at school(hey, I had a two hour break between classes!)and I have to say that it was awesome! It actually made me want to start collecting Spider-Man comics again, something I didn't think I'd ever want to do again after the One More Day/Brand New Day garbage. Umm, I think that'll have to do it for tonight. After I publish this post I'll be heading over to the Saint Barry blog to post something there, and then it's off to bed for me. It's a new day!

I figure I should probably ease myself back into my nightly posts with a few quick thoughts. And just for fun, I'm going to number them! Why is that fun? I don't know... Anyway, here we go!

1)I'm seriously thinking about putting some form of comment moderation on this blog again... Everyday now I'm being forced to erase at least 4 spam comments, and let me tell you, that is REALLY annoying! French, Italian, Japanese, German, you name the language, and I've probably gotten spam from them! Ugh...

2)I'm pretty close to shutting down the picture blog. At the time I started it up it seemed like a good idea, but now I kind of can't figure out why I even created it! Since I usually post pictures on this blog anyway, the picture blog seems kind of redundant and unnecessary.

3)Boy was I ever channeling Spider-Man during my Year in Review post last night or what! The New Year must have made me really mopey or something!

4)The main reason I've been trying to review every new comic I read is so I can continue to make the blog bigger... I'm starting to think that's not that bright of an idea... I think from now on I'm only going to review a select few comics, while I cram the rest of the books I read into one quickie post. That should save me time(and sanity!).

5)Although I'm embarrassed to admit this, I figure I will anyway. Recently my sister brought herself a Nintendo Wii to stay fit or something. The other day I was hanging out with her and playing it, and there was this stupid game where you control a bird on the television, and you have to flap your arms like a moron to make the bird fly around on the TV. So here I am, flailing my arms around like a madman in order to best my sister's score when I wound up messing up my shoulder! It feels a lot better now, but how sad is that?!? Go ahead, laugh... The lesson here is simple, beware the Wii, it has terrible powers!

6)Since I'm still playing catch-up with my comic book reading, I'm not going to be posting reviews for the following comics: Batman: Streets of Gotham 6 & 7, Mighty Avengers 31 & 32, and X-Factor #200. If ya read any of those books and feel like talking about them, comment away, I should be able to respond semi-intelligently about them come tomorrow.

Annnnd, that's it for tonight! As you can see, I got most of my blogging out of my system with last night's gargantuan post, so the only thing left to say is Avengers Assemble! Wait, I mean Long Live The Legion!!!

Huh, I totally forgot today was the day the clocks go back an hour... That means I get an extra hour of sleep!!! More sleep always makes me a very happy camper! Unfortunately, the hour change screwed up the order of my posts...
