Impulse #29 (Sept. 1997)

As promised, tonight brings us another round of Retro-Reviews, this time from DC. The theme tonight? How's about the original Young Justice? Yep, tonight I'll review an Impulse, a Robin and a Superboy comic back from the 90's. How awesome is that?! Hopefully I'll wind up with three great reads, but as always with the Retro-Reviews, I draw these comics at random, so who knows what we'll end up with here... As I did with the last round of Retro-Reviews, I'm going to post the reviews in alphabetical order, meaning we start off with...

Impulse #29:

What Happened: Bart Allen(Impulse!) winds up getting in trouble at school for not paying attention during class. That coupled with an argument he had with Max Mercury earlier in the day has Bart not all that fond of returning home to another Max lecture. The school day ends and while walking home from school with his two friends, Bart witnesses a truck about to crash. With his friends distracted, Bart changes to Impulse and stops the truck, but is surprised when a bunch of armed goons exit the trucks and start shooting at him. Bart manages to deflect the bullets into the ground but loses his footing in the process. One of Bart's friends yells at the gunmen to distract them from shooting Bart, so the goons instead turn their guns on the kids, grazing one in the arm with a bullet. That pisses Bart off and having recovered, he makes quick work of the gunmen. With that, Bart changes clothes and rejoins his friends and after talking to the cops, Bart heads home, feeling guilty that his friend was “shot”, even though his friend thought it was uber-cool. Upon getting home, Bart wishes that Max was gone forever since he knew Max would be angry with the way Bart handled the gunmen, and Bart learns from Max's daughter that Max had vanished without a trace.

The Good: The good?! It was Impulse!! There's your good right there! This issue made me remember just how much I loved this character and this series. The way Bart handled the bullets flying at him was REALLY well done as it showed off his speed wonderfully. He stood there pondering about 5 different ways to get rid of the bullets before deciding that sending them into the ground was the way to go. Bart's relationship with Max was great(as it always was). The ending was a nice little touch with Bart wishing that Max was gone and then Max suddenly vanishing without a trace(he actually was responding to a mystery letter he received). The story was a good, fast, fun read.

The Bad: The armed gunmen suddenly shooting at some kids was a bit overboard... They went from smuggling toxic waste to trying to murder children?! Bart's friend only getting a grazing gunshot wound from a bunch of armed goons with automatic weapons was a bit too lucky for me.

The Verdict: I really enjoyed reading this issue! I mean REALLY enjoyed it! I enjoyed it so much it made me want to pull out the entire Impulse series to remind myself how awesome DC was once... As opposed to what it has become... *sigh* This was a really good taste of what this comic was all about actually. It was just good fun. And you know what? There's a HUGE gap in the market right now for this type of comic book. I don't know that either of the Big Two are putting out a series that's just plain fun, like this series was... Thanks for getting rid of Impulse, Geoff Johns...

Score: 9 out of 10.Impulse rules. Period, end of discussion, case closed, 'nuff said.

Impulse #50 (July 1999)

When I mentioned that I was going to do a few Retro-Reviews this week, JT(of Jason Todd's Comic Spot) asked me to post a review of Impulse #50... Okay, that's a lie... He begged me to review that comic! It was kind of pitiful actually... He even cried a bit... Anyway, not wanting to hurt JT's feelings, I decided I'd review this comic because I'm a such a classy gentleman! God, JT's gonna kill me when he reads this, but it'll be worth it! :P

Impulse #50:

Summary: This issue gets started with Bart(that would be Impulse to those not in the know) discovering that it was April Fool's Day, meaning he could pull pranks on people and not get into trouble for it. Needless to say, Bart can't wait to make Robin's(Tim Drake at the time) life miserable, since Robin was always bossing him around. After flipping through an issue of Mad Magazine, Bart discovers the address of a novelty warehouse in Gotham City and rushes off to get there. Unfortunately, the Joker has broken into the same warehouse and was holding about a dozen people hostage. Commissioner Gordon and the Gotham PD are on scene just as Batman arrives and tells Gordon to keep his officers back so that he could handle things. Joker tosses a walkie-talkie out the window of the warehouse and torments Bats with it for a while, before Bats tosses the radio down and vanishes into the night. By now Bart has arrived on the scene and overhears Gordon mentioning Bats to one of the other cops. Excited by the opportunity to help Bats, Bart grabs the walkie-talkie and rushes to the roof of the warehouse, where he discovers a sprinkler pipe that had been tampered with. Before he could puzzle out what that meant, Bats confronts Bart and tells him to leave the scene since it was WAY too dangerous. The Joker, who was listening to the conversation through the radio, tells Bats that he wanted Bart to enter the warehouse or he'd start killing hostages. With no recourse, Bats tells Bart to go inside, but to always stay 20 feet away from Joker and to use his brain for a change. Bart enters the warehouse and keeps his distance from Joker, who was wielding a flamethrower and holding a hostage. Joker reveals to Bart that he had placed Joker gas in the warehouses sprinkler system before informing Bart that he had already killed one of Batman's Robins, and wouldn't think twice about killing Bart, meaning that Bart had better do whatever Joker asked. To that end, Joker gives Bart a list of ridiculous errands to run(from taking pictures in front of famous monuments, to catching piranhas to bringing Joker a Happy Meal). Bart completes all the tasks and quickly checks in with Bats, giving him a hand-drawn diagram of the inside of the warehouse, including where the hostages, Joker's henchmen and Joker himself were situated before rushing back inside. Having enjoyed sending Bart around, Joker begins to write out more errands, while Bats gets rid of the Joker gas hidden in the sprinkler system. Bats then begins to take out Joker's men, causing one of the men to call Joker from the other room to tell him that something funny was going on. Figuring Bats had finally snuck in, Joker shoots the flamethrower into the air figuring that would unleash the Joker gas, but is surprised to see only water fall from the air. Bats tries to attack Joker, but Joker swings the flamethrower around wildly, setting the warehouse on fire. Bart offers to help catch Joker, but Batman instead orders him to rescue the hostages and Joker's unconscious goons from the burning warehouse. Bart does as he's told, while Bats sneaks around the smoky warehouse. Joker manages to sneak up on Bats and prepares to shoot Bats in the back just as Bart fools around with the phone of one of Joker's goons, causing Joker's cell phone to ring. Bats quickly spins around and lays Joker out, ending his threat. With Joker finished, Bats meets up with Bart outside and commends him on the way he followed orders and helped catch Joker. Before leaving though, Bats warns Bart to try not to be so damn impulsive since he had the potential to be a great hero.

Thoughts: I have the entire Impulse run, and I'd wager that this was the best issue of the entire series. Everything that happened here felt natural and not at all forced, which is what usually happens when you get high-profile characters like Batman and Joker popping up in a series, so kudos to Todd Dezago for a great story. Bats sounded like Bats, Joker was his usual psychotic self, and Bart was Impulse, easily one of my all time favorite characters. Besides the great story, the art was fantastic, Ethan Van Sciver's Bart Allen is the one I see when I close my eyes, and his Joker was amazingly good. I honestly don't have a single complaint here... This was truly a perfect comic book.

Score: 10 out of 10.HA!! Man do I miss Impulse...

Some of my favorite comic characters!

Here's a post that needs no introduction, some random comic scans of some of my favorite comic book characters! Ten of my favorite characters to be exact, five from DC and five from Marvel. And no, this isn't the definitive list of favorite characters for me, these are just 10 characters who came to mind for me the fastest. There are a few big omissions, but what do you want from me, I only spent like 20 minutes on this post! So without further ado, here they are in no particular order.

You had to know I was going to close out this post with an X-Man scan! So yeah, there were a lot of omissions(Wally West, Kyle Rayner, Stephanie Brown, Daken, Hardball, Marvel Boy, and the list goes on and on), but like I said, this was just a quickie post. Given more time to think, I'm sure I'd have come up with a few different choices. But hey, that means I can do another post like this down the road! New Comic Day! August 24th edition.

Hey all, it's time for another edition of New Comic Day! Before I get to this week's books, as always, I'll first take a gander back at last week's NCD post... I actually didn't read all of my new comics from last week for the first time in ages, mainly because the two titles I didn't read(Titans #38 & Uncanny X-Men #542) have absolutely no appeal to me, thus the fact that I've yet to read them! Seeing as that I didn't actually review all of my comics from last week, I can't figure out what last week's average score was... And since I didn't read Uncanny X-Men #542, I can't talk about last week's Runt of the Litter... So yeah. That'll have to wrap up the recap section of this post.

With the recap done, here's a look at the comics I picked up earlier today... Action Comics #904, Batman: Gates of Gotham #5, Batman Incorporated #8, Batman: The Dark Knight #5, Gotham City Sirens #26, Teen Titans #100, Wonder Woman #614, Captain America and Bucky #621, Daken: Dark Wolverine #13, Deadpool #42, Fear Itself: Youth in Revolt #4, Iron Age Omega #1, Kick-Ass 2 #3, New Mutants #30, Ultimate Comics Ultimates #1, Uncanny X-Force #13, Wolverine #14, Green Lantern Retroactive 1990's #1 & X-Men #16. So yet again, nearly 20 comics... On the plus side, next week DC is only putting out TWO comic books, neither one of which I'll be buying, which means I should be able to cut my comic spending down substantially. Unless Marvel decides to take advantage of DC's gaffe and puts out of mess of great books, in which case I'm screwed. But here's hoping I can try to limit my comic book purchases to about 10-15 books next week. Let's see, this week's Pick of the Litter, the book I'm most looking forward to reading is... huh, there are a few really intriguing books here... I guess I'll go with my gut and choose Fear Itself: Youth in Revolt #4, if only to learn the fate of my favorite Avengers: Initiative character... If Hardball dies in that comic, I riot! But seriously, looking through these books, I see a lot of comics I'm really looking forward to, such as Kick-Ass 2(!!), Daken, New Mutants, Ultimates, X-Force, Wolverine, Cap & Bucky, yeah, Marvel is pumping out some really good books this week. Expect the next couple of days to be really Marvel heavy. As for this week's Runt of the Litter, I'm going to pick Batman: Gates of Gotham #5. It's not that I'm dreading this comic per se, but since I'm pretty happy with all of this week's comics, and Gates hasn't really produced as I'd it would, so Gates will have to be my very tentative Runt. And with that, I'm done. I'll have two reviews up later on(probably Wolverine #14 and Ultimates #1), and depending on how my day goes, possibly another two before I call it a night. So there you have it. Another New Comic Day in the books, all that's left for me to do is say X out!

The Random Comic Scan of the Week!.Reason #371 to hate Geoff Johns: killing Bart's Impulse character...

Before I end this post, a quick question. For the past several months, I've been pairing up my reviews two per post. I'm thinking about going back to doing one review per post, but I figured I'd see what you guys think. If you have a preference, let me know. If not, cool.

Random Tuesday Thoughts.

Hey X-Maniacs, it's your humble servant, comic book malefactor and Shaman to Mutantkind, X here with what can only be described as a time-wasting post... You see, I'm kind of in that weird spot where I don't have any new books to review(well, except for one, but I'll get to that soon), I don't feel like doing another Jason Todd review, nor do I feel like doing a trade review... So what's left? How's about a post that talks about a whole MESS of things then? I haven't done one of those in a while, so I'll go with that. There are a few comic related topics I could talk about here(as well as the obligatory video game remark), and that should, at the very least, kill some time and bridge the gap between today and Wednesday, where I'll have my normal New Comic Day post. In order to make things easier for you, the reader, I'll highlight the main topic for each paragraph in blue. Okay, with that out of the way, let's get to it!

-First things first, that lone new comic I haven't done a review for... I figure this is as good a place as any to tackle that, so here it is! The comic is Annihilators #4(of 4), and is written by the usually sterling team of Dan Abnett and Andy Lanning. I hadn't really enjoyed this mini-series the way I expected to, but I'd be willing to give this issue a 7 out of 10. It had it's good points(a lot of action), but it also had it's bad points(the Spaceknights and Dire Wraiths kissing and making up). Now, I'm no expert on the Spaceknights or Dire Wraiths, but I always figured they were like the Krees and Skrulls. In other words, perpetually at war. I could never imagine the Krees and Skrulls shaking hands, so it seemed odd that sworn enemies for years/decades/centuries(?), would be so willing to overlook their longstanding hatred of each other. But what do I know? Oh, and I didn't read that horrid Rocket Raccoon story, because I knew I was gonna hate it anyway.

-Next order of business is the DCU reboot. And no, I'm NOT going to call it the “DCNU”, because it's NOT new. From the few interviews I've read, it seems like the Bat-books aren't being changed at all... Think about that for a second. In the so-called DCNU, there's nothing new in the Bat-books! They're simply continuing the old storylines! In every interview with one of the Bat-book writers, the writers have gone out of their way to state that every change that happens to the Bat-books would be explained. Then on the other hand, you have a character like Superboy... Yes Superboy, who's been around for about 15 years now(give or take a year), and is being COMPLETELY blown up and started from scratch. In the rebooted DCU, SB is a failed experiment simply known as “The Clone”, created by Project NOWHERE. And the solicitation for the new SB book literally says, “Can a clone develop a conscience?” Seriously! I'm not creative enough to come up with shit like THAT! “The Clone”? “Project NOWHERE”? “develop a conscience”?!? Really?! Now, even after reading that, I'm still going to be picking up that Superboy series, but damn, it sounds BRUTALLY bad! All I can hope is that Grant Morrison winds up writing a story for Superboy. That way he'll simply blend the new, “failed clone” Superboy with the current Superboy, because that's what he does. Don't believe me? Two words: Jason Todd.

-Speaking of brutally bad, and terrible ideas, Marvel announced that they were canceling Uncanny X-Men. Now, I'll admit that Kieron Gillen's work on that series has been awful, but that's no reason to cancel one of Marvel's longest running series! Seriously though, it looks like after the Schism mini-series(which I have surprisingly high hopes for), Marvel is going to debut two new X-Men books, most likely one where Lord Summers and the crazier muties will still be living like insane hermits on an island somewhere, and the other where Wolverine will take the more sane muties and set them up elsewhere, like maybe X-Mansion(hopefully!). Of course this is still all speculation, but since we pretty much know Lord Summers and Wolvie will be the one's having the ideological differences, it makes sense. Knowing the way Marvel operates, I'm sure they'll simply restart Uncanny at #1 and then renumber it once it reaches a milestone number...

-I started reading the first “Supreme Power” hardcover the other night, and I have to say, it's been AMAZING so far! Now granted, I'm only 4 issues in, but damn, when J. Michael Straczynski wants to, he can write an awesome story! You know, unlike his unfortunate Superman and Wonder Woman runs... Then again, I mainly enjoyed his Amazing Spidey run too, so maybe the moral of this story is that writers shouldn't go to DC, because they seemingly deteriorate or something...

-I've been happily playing InFamous 2 this past week, and have been enjoying the hell out of it. So far I've beaten the game as a hero, and I have to say, the ending shocked(pun intended!) me. I definitely didn't see it coming. That's all I'm going to say about the ending though, since I don't want to spoil anything for anybody who may not have picked it up yet. I'm currently playing through a second time as a villain, which is, as expected, a blast... What's more fun then just walking down the street and pummeling anything and anyone that gets in your way?

-Speaking of video games, it seems that Robin will be playable in the upcoming Batman: Arkham City... In a way... It looks like you'll be able to play as Robin the same way you could play as the Joker in Batman: Arkham Asylum. That is to say not during the game itself, but in those mini-game/challenges. That's pretty cool, and I'm fine with that(although I'd rather play as a Robin as opposed to Catwoman in the main game...), I just wonder which Robin we're getting... I doubt it's Damian, and you KNOW it's not Jason or Steph, which leaves Tim or Dick. My money's on Dick, probably wearing an outfit akin to Tim's original Robin design. In a perfect world though, they'd give you different skins for all the Robins, allowing you to basically play as any of them, even if the moves remain the same. Regardless, I'll be getting that game the day it drops.

-Moving back to the blog, I'm once again stymied as to what to do with the picture blog... I can't help but feel kind of guilty that I'm not doing more there... I mean hell, I post to this blog EVERY day! I post to the other blog sporadically at best... I was toying with the idea of just going through my comics in alphabetical order and posting a random page from a random book, but then you might wind up with something totally bland, like a random page from an issue of Hawkman or something... But then on the other hand, trying to post to both blogs nightly might be asking for trouble... An overworked X is a cranky X! I'm open to suggestions, but don't be surprised if I just keep that blog the exact same as it is now.

I think that's enough rambling for now. I'll give you guys a treat for sticking with me until the end of this mess and bust out a bonus random scan. Until next time(which I guess will be tomorrow...), X out.

New Comic Day! March 2nd edition.

Another Wednesday, another New Comic Day post... I'm going to have to make this post kind of brief as I have a paper due for my Literature class and I should probably be working on that instead of this here post... But much like a junkie, I can't completely ditch my weekly NCD fix, so here we are. Let's get right into last week's books so I can quickly get into what I picked up earlier today... Last week's Pick of the Litter, Fantastic Four #588, was actually a bit of a disappointment to me, only garnering a 7 1/2 for a score. I mean it had its good parts, but I was expecting SO much more... Last week's Runt on the other hand more than surpassed my expectations for it. I wasn't expecting much from Detective Comics #874, but it impressed, getting a score of 8 1/2. In my defense though, I really didn't have my heart in picking Detective as the Runt, but I had to pick SOMETHING, and Detective wound up being it.

Okay, moving speedily along, here's the subscription books I'm expecting to receive eventually... Batman: Streets of Gotham #20, Green Lantern #63(My GOD, didn't I just suffer through this?!), Daken: Dark Wolverine #6 and X-Factor #216. With that out of the way, here's what I snagged at the comic shop earlier today. Brightest Day #21(once again, my GOD, didn't I just suffer through this!?), Freedom Fighters #7(sadly not long for this world), Secret Six #31, Avengers Academy #10, Wolverine/Hercules #1(I'm not sure why...), Deadpool #33.1, Thunderbolts #154, Wolverine: The Best There Is #4(are we really already up to issue #4?), Captain America and Falcon #1, Daken: Dark Wolverine #6 and Annihilators #1. Yeah, that's right, I have Daken #6 coming in the mail AND I picked it up today as well! I couldn't resist! I also snagged the Batman Beyond trade collecting that recent mini-series. Not a HUGE week for me, with only 11 comic shop books and 4 subscription titles, but a decent enough pull for yours truly. I'm going to grace Daken: Dark Wolverine #6 with the title of Pick of this Week's Litter, as it is one of my favorite ongoing books. As for this week's Runt, need you even ask?! It's Brightest Day #21 hands down! Just THINKING about reading that comic is getting me angry! So yeah, that's going to have to do it for me, as I REALLY need to get back to work! The Random Scan of the Week!I miss the good old Flash days...

This and that.

Hey all, happy Friday! I kind of wanted to post something today, if only to stay connected with the blog. My EPIC review of Superman: Secret Origin is still in the process of being finished, so I'm unable to post that, and most of the comics I've read lately haven't really caused me to think, “Boy, I NEED to review this comic for the masses!” So what to do... Well, since this IS a comic blog first and foremost I might as well talk comics. Last night I read Shadowland: Daughters of the Shadow #2, Shadowland: Power Man #2, Shadowland: Moon Knight #2, Detective Comics #869, and Captain America: Patriot #2. I didn't like Moon Knight at all, while the rest were pretty good. None of them really blew me away, they were just good solid reads. If I had to pick a best out of that bunch, I'd go with Cap: Patriot. I also finished up, “The Last Days of Animal Man” trade at school today. To be honest, I don't know why I decided to read it, it was one of those spur of the moment, grab the first trade you see sort of decisions, and I have to say, I'm glad I did read it. It was WAY better than it had any right to be. Animal Man never appealed to me in the least, but this story actually caused me to care about the title character, something I didn't believe could be done. Basically the story is set in the near future where Animal Man learns that he's losing his powers, which causes him to go through several stages of grief. I'd easily recommend it. With Animal Man out of the way, Kick-Ass is the next trade to find its way into my book bag. Here's hoping it's as good as I've been hearing. Besides all that, I've been slowly making my way through the many Green Lantern back issues I seem to have accumulated(mainly thanks to my sister). You see, my sister is a huge Kyle Rayner fan and actually collected the last Green Lantern series from issue #51 to... whenever that series concluded. After she finished them up, she gave 'em to me(like a year ago...)and I'm just now getting around to them. I'm up to issue #89 and so far I'm enjoying them WAAAAAY more than the current Green Lantern series. Unlike Hal Jordan, who really doesn't have any compelling stories left to tell, I've been finding many of Kyle's stories to be interesting and original. I can fully understand why DC went the direction they went with the Green Lantern series back in the 1990's.

Okay, that takes care of the comic book portion of this post. Next let's get to Fallout 3! After getting home from the art gallery(which I'll get into later...)I finally started the game over again with a new, scumbag sort of character. I will admit to taking a perverse pleasure in ignoring Butch's plea to help his mother during the break out from Vault 101 stage. Plus blowing his head off after I told him I wouldn't assist him was like icing on the cake... The cake of EVIL! Sorry, that was really lame... Anyway, Butch shouldn't have messed with me at my tenth birthday party. If you ask me, he had that bullet coming(anybody who's played Fallout should get that). From there it was off to the Capital Wasteland to make a name for myself as the baddest man to ever walk the planet. It should be a blast.

As for the old personal life, I had to go to an art gallery for my English class earlier tonight. That was probably the first time I've ever been to an art gallery, and it's pretty safe to say that it'll be the last time! It was all just weird... I mean, when I think art I think pictures, portraits, sculptures, etc. Sure, there were some pretty decent paintings there, but then there were just weird, WEIRD things... Some of them I got a chuckle out of(such as a painting depicting Sarah Palin as the Anti-Christ), some things left me feeling uncomfortable(like the painting of Adam banging Eve against a tree in the Garden of Eden), and others(most of them actually)left me feeling absolutely perplexed(how the HELL is a block of wood with the word “painting” across it considered art???). It was bizarre... Now I have to try to pick out one piece of art and write a 2-3 page paper on what I thought about it, what I thought the artist was trying to say, how they used light/dark and symbolism to try to make their point, etc. Normally I really enjoy writing(as I think this blog proves), so I have no problem starting a paper, but this time around I'm drawing a total blank... The paper is due next Friday, so I have about a week to try to make heads or tails of what the hell I was looking at today. Besides that, I've been thoroughly enjoying the current season of Hell's Kitchen, so if anybody wants to talk about that, be my guest(I'm looking at JT and Falisha!). Same goes for the Ultimate Fighter series, which is another of my guilty pleasures. That's gonna do it for me tonight. I'll be doing some quick studying for my science test on Monday, reading a few more issues of Green Lantern(as well as two or three new books)before calling it a night. Hey, check me out, I've managed to remember that today was Impulse Monday here at the blog! I was thisclose to forgetting, but no worries Impulsive Ones, there WILL be a random Impulse scan up here tonight! Huzzah!!! Anywho, before I get to the scan, I figured I'd inform you guys that I placed an order for Fallout 3 for my PS3, mainly due to the fact that IGN had it listed as the second greatest PS3 game ever released. So besides comic stuff, if anybody has anything to say about that game, let me know. Okay, enough babbling, on to tonight's Impulse scan. And instead of the humorous side of Bart, tonight we see that Bart has a romantic side. Who knew?!From Impulse #72(May 2001).

Impulse Mondays.

Hey there X-Maniacs, X here to announce a new weekly feature! Let's face facts, nobody likes Mondays. They signal the end of the weekend and the beginning of the work and/or school week for most of us. As such, Monday tends to be my least favorite day of the week. So I was wondering, how can I beat the Monday blues? After some thought, I realized that this was a job for Impulse! Yes, Bart Allen, not just one of my favorite DC characters, but one of my favorite characters in all of comics, is the answer to defeating the Monday blues. So every Monday for the foreseeable future(or at least until I forget to put a post up!)I'll be posting some random Impulse scan from my comic collection. A Random Scan...

So I was planning to post a review of Adventure Comics #11, but I'm just not up for it tonight... So instead, I figured I'd go the lazy route and simply post a random scan. Well, a not so random scan actually... See, I'm going to do a Young Justice week over at the pic blog, so I figured I'd get a bit of a head start here and post something from the predecessor to Young Justice, the JLA: World Without Grown-Ups mini-series. Some video game news, plus a random scan!

Hey X-Maniacs, I figured I'd take a little breather from my schoolwork to throw a quick update out. I was initially just going to do a quick scan and leave it at that, but some pretty awesome comic book video game news came out today, so I figure I should touch on that. First off is the official announcement of Marvel vs Capcom 3... As somebody who had sunk COUNTLESS hours into Marvel vs Capcom 2 for the PS2, I've got to say that this is spectacular news! I'd still prefer if it was an all Marvel game(sorry, but I'd rather play as 50+ Marvel characters then with a bunch of Capcom characters that I had never heard about)but so long as this game is HALF as good as its predecessor, it'll definitely be a must buy for me.

Speaking of must buys, it was announced today that Talia Al Ghul and Mr. Freeze have been confirmed for Batman: Arkham Asylum 2. Freeze I can take or leave, but I'm pretty excited about Talia's inclusion, especially if it means that Ra's Al Ghul will also be appearing. Of course I am a bit nervous that Talia's inclusion could possibly lead to a Damian appearance, but I don't think DC would do that to me... Or at least they better not!
