Outsiders #33

Overall: This issue begins with Geo-Force's crazy ex-wife running wild in Markovia, killing innocent Markovians. While that's going on, Geo-Force is proclaiming his love to a surprised Katana. Before poor confused Katana can respond, Eradicator enters the room and tells Geo-Force that they had found Geode. Geo-Force and Eradicator go after the deranged woman and she smacks them around for a bit since Geo-Force seems unable to go on the offensive against Geode. Finally, Eradicator has enough and blasts Geode unconscious. From there, some hooded figure blows a horn at Geo-Force, which... transports him and Eradicator somewhere... I guess. This issue ends with Achilles(from WW fame)and his hordes attacking Markovia for some reason.

Umm, what? There was so much going on here that I just didn't get. Why build up Geode as this huge threat only to have her lose in a matter of seconds? What's up with Halo being in a coma here, but helping the team in the Road Home: Outsiders one-shot? Geo-Force has the hots for Katana? Since when? Who was the guy with the horn? And why were Geo-Force and Eradicator struck down by said horn? And of course, what was up with Achilles suddenly attacking Markovia? I REALLY want to go off on a tear about Dan Didio(writer of this series), but for now I won't. But trust me, I can feel a rant coming on.

Score: 5 out of 10.It sure must be nice having Eradicator on you team...

  3. True, just let that rant fester for a while. And I gotta ask, did you post early today because you know you won't later due to the Sat Chat?

  5. I've been going to sleep at like 12-1 all week so I HIGHLY doubt I'm up later than 3 anyway. Those Sat Chats take alot out of ya, but their always fun.

  6. At least Dan Didio didn't pick a high profile book to write, like Superman or something.

You know if any other person brought in Didio's story ideas and tried to make a pitch to use them in a comic they would get laughed out of the DC offices ( and quite possibly the entire industry). I guess it's good to be the boss.

  7. "Those Sat Chats take alot out of ya, but their always fun." Ain't that the truth! So how long did you end up staying on after I checked out, JT?

"At least Dan Didio didn't pick a high profile book to write, like Superman or something." Great point, Kello. I guess that's true. He could have taken over Supes and had him wander aimlessly around America or something. Now THAT would have been a stupid story idea! :P

  9. Lol, they've been going to work with headsets on, Kello's talking while people do work and Marc's sitting at a lobby with his laptop. Well.. Marc's sounds easier to pull off.

  10. HA! Kello'd be real bad at his job if that were true! :D "Hold on a second here, I'm TRYING to talk to Marc!"
