Batgirl #11: Writer: Bryan Q Miller. Pencils: Lee Garbett.
Last Issue: 10 out of 10.
Review: Since this issue follows two distinct storylines, I'm going to tackle them one at a time to keep this review somewhat coherent. First up will be the Batgirl portion of the story. While trying to find Oracle, Batgirl ends up running afoul a Calculator possessed Catwoman(who she narrowly defeats), a Calculator possessed Huntress(who she runs from), and a Calculator possessed Man-Bat(who she hitches a ride on). While Steph is in these various life or death situations, she is being assisted by the Calculator's daughter(and former Teen Titan), Wendy, who manages to trace where Calculator was sending out the signals that were turning large portions of Gotham into his mindless slaves. Meanwhile, the Calculator hooks his brain up to Oracle(in an effort to discover all of her secrets), but discovers that Oracle's mental blocks are too strong for him, and as such, he is unable to learn much of anything(besides the fact that Oracle and Barbara Gordon are one and the same). Since Calculator had revealed to Babs that they were connected, she fights back, and forces her way into Calculator's mind. This issue ends with Batgirl parachuting down to Slaughter Swamp, which is where Calculator's secret base was located.
What I Thought: No complaints here. This was yet ANOTHER very good issue of Batgirl(although not quite as good as the last issue was), that I'd have no problem recommending to anybody. The dual story is strong, Calculator has been turned into a major force, and the final showdown next issue should be epic.
Score: 8 1/2 out of 10.What's worse then having to face Huntress? Having to face a possessed Huntress!
