Huh, Greg Land picks up the penciling duties starting with this issue. I'd guess this would be one of his early works at DC.
Story- Dick finally returns to Bludhaven after the craziness in Gotham over the past few issues(I'm not counting issue 40, because I still don't know what that was all about...). Upon returning he returns to the police academy and winds up graduating and becomes a cop. His landlady/"girlfriend" Clancy also gets accepted on a Waynetech scholarship to Medical School. Everything seems so nice and rosy... Yeah right! The fake "Nite-Wing" is still killing off the enemies of corrupt police Chief Redhorn. These actions have put Nite-Wing directly into the sights of Blockbuster, the undisputed crime lord of Bludhaven, who now wants Nite-Wing eliminated. Nite-Wing showing some sociopathic behavior, becomes increasingly upset that his killings of the mobsters are being buried in the back of the newspaper, and has decided that his next hit will leave no doubt as to the fact that Nite-Wing was responsible.
Overall- Good little story. Dick's life seems to be coming together, so you can just sense that with all the other stuff going on behind the scenes of Bludhaven, Dick's happiness will be very short lived, especially if/when he finally crosses paths with the other "Nite-Wing". With Nite-Wing, Blockbuster and Chief Redhorn, Nightwing still has a lot of tough problems to clean up in the 'Haven.
