New Comic Day!

Hey X-Maniacs, it's X here again with the weekly New Comic Day post. First off, a quick apology... I've been VERY lax when it comes to posting stuff here lately. The early part of the school year has been busy. Much busier than usual. I'm going to try to post a few quickie posts tonight from some of the comics from last week, but no promises. To make matters worse, my copy of Fallout 3 finally arrived in the mail today, so I'm going to have to assume that some of my free/blogging time is going to go towards that game. Okay, with all of that out of the way, here's what I've picked up this week: X-23 #1, Captain America: Patriot #1, Brightest Day #10, Deadpool #27, Green Lantern: Emerald Warriors #2, The Heroic Age: Super Heroes #1, Shadowland: Ghost Rider #1, Shadowland: Power Man #2, Steve Rogers: Super-Soldier #3, Thunderbolts #148 and Zatanna #5. So a pretty good load of books. If you want me to review any of them, drop me a comment, and I will try to get reviews for those books done... Eventually! So that'll do it for me for now. I'll try to get a few quickie reviews up later on tonight, but that all depends on a few factors outside of my control. X out.

  2. "Where the hell were you?!" Dude, I know! I've been just buried with school work, homework and papers this week... I mean I still have a whole slew of comics to go through from LAST week before I can even get to THIS week's books! I just finished reviews for Batgirl, Action Comics and Green Arrow after dinner, all I need to do is scan a page for each of 'em and then I'll post 'em. Those reviews are VERY brief though, which is probably going to be the case until I get caught up.

I am SO intrigued by the fact that you LOVED BD #10... I can't wait to read that one since I've disliked to flat out hated like every issue so far! But that's later. Right now I'm gonna fire up Fallout 3, play that for about an hour or two, then it's back to homework... Ugh! :P

  3. X you sound like me!! Only two classes but I'm busy EVERYDAY. Yeah I play MW2 a couple hours but I'm so nose deep into this algebra stuff my head is spinning. lol. I feel so bad I haven't been drawing like I thought I was...on top of that my seasonal shows are starting soon. Lol.

I completely feel what you're going through! Lol. :(

As for comics, I just ask a pic review of Zatanna #5. No fine details...just what you thought and a score. Lol. I'm tired thinking about having to read comics from the past few weeks. Lol. I don't even remember the last comic I read. It's all bad!! >_<

But enough of be blabbing, good luck on school sir and good luck on comics. And I hope you enjoy Fallout, it's a pretty awesome game.

  4. "X you sound like me!!" HA!! Yep, you may be the current mayor of Lazy City, but I'm trying to give you a run for your money, Lisha! :D Some semesters I seem to have tons of free time, but this semester... SHEESH! Just this week I've had two tests(with one more tomorrow)and a 4 page paper due on Friday! Ugh, can't my professors space these things out better?! :P

As for the Zatanna comic, can do. When I finally do get some free time, that book'll be right around the top of my must read list. I love that series. btw, I probably put about two hours into Fallout and yeah, I think I'm gonna really enjoy it!

  5. Shockingly enough, there is a good chance that I may be going to the comic store this week to get that issue of Captain America: Patriot and the first issue of the Thor miniseries starting out this week (can't remember what it's called). Maybe Shadowland Ghost Rider since I like Clayton Crain. But yeah, looking forward to hearing your thoughts on any of those as well as possibly discussing them with you guys this weekend!

  6. Lol. You very wll may be the President of Lazy States of Comica. As long as I'm V. Pres, we can make a deal. Lol. I swear I was thinking the same thing. Winter semester of 2010, was just a breeze so much time to chill, along with Spring semester. Lol. But this semester geez, it's crazy. It's like my profs know I'm graduating soon and they're making me work hard.

A week in and I already have a huge algebra test coming next Wednesday. Which means.....EVERYTHING will be put on hold so I can study. I want to keep an A in this class. Lol.

Thanks for making it a sure thing for a Zatanna review. Lol, and Fallout is definitely awesome. Maaaaybe you'll find interest in Call of Duty Black Ops in November and play with me and JT. Lol.
