New Comic Day! September 22 edition.

Hey there X-Maniacs, I figured I'd take a break from schoolwork and Fallout 3 to do a quick New Comic Day post. So without further ado, here's the books I picked up today. Avengers #5, Avengers Academy #4, Black Widow #6, Fantastic Four #583, Justice League: Generation Lost #10, Shadowland: Daughters of the Shadow #2, Shadowland: Moon Knight #2, Supergirl #56 and Superman/Batman #76... Not exactly the greatest of weeks if I do say so myself. I'm not really looking forward to any of these books. Avengers has been strong, Fantastic Four begins the “Three” storyline, where one of the members of the team dies/disappears/retires. Again. Black Widow ISN'T written by Marjorie Liu, which is a bummer, and Superman/Batman looks somewhat interesting since Judd Winick is writing it. And that's about it. The other comics I'm either only vaguely interested in, or not very interested in at all. On the plus side, such a lackluster week means I can spend more time playing Fallout 3 and less reading comics! If you want me to do a review for one of these books, you know the drill, drop me a comment and I'll get right on it. X out.

  1. How has Avengers been, and is this the end of the first story arc? I'd love to hear your thoughts on that, as well as the new Fantastic Four storyline!

  3. Gah! Blast you JT!!! I still haven't read #'s 8 or 9 yet...

I've been enjoying Sir Bendis's work on Avengers, Marc. I don't think this is the end of the first arc, although I could be wrong. My guess is that next issue will be the end of the first arc, but I won't know for sure until I finish it off tonight. As for the FF book, no problemo mis amigos!

  4. Geez where was I when you blogged?! lol, oh that's right nose deep in my algebra book studying. Lol. Sorry for the lateness sir but this week all I ask for is Black Widow. :)

How's school going for you? Professors still piling on homework/tests?

  5. No need to apologize Ms. Falisha! I can remember still remember all the fun I used to have with Algebra. And by fun I actually mean mind-numbing boredom... As of right now, BW is on the top of my “must read” pile.

This past week was actually pretty quiet, thanks for asking. I have one test coming up(Thursday)and possibly 1 paper due on Friday(at least according to the syllabus), although since the professor hasn't told us what it's supposed to be about yet, I'm hoping that paper gets pushed back a few days.
