Talking turkey.

Well, I've pretty much resigned myself to the fact that I'm probably not going to see my missing package of comic books anytime soon, so I'm going to just read the issues I have while using reviews from fellow comic book aficionados to figure out what happened in the books I don't have. I hate not actually reading the comic books personally, but what can ya do? On a positive note, my online comic book shop shipped out my latest CB order on Wednesday, so it's conceivable(but unlikely)that I'll be reading Blackest Night #5, Cap Reborn #4, JL Cry for Justice #5 and of course the comic I've been waiting nearly 4 years to read, Dark X-Men #1 as early as Saturday, provided my package doesn't get lost in the mail again... Speaking of my online comic shop, they sent me an e-mail alerting me to a 40%(!)off sale on ALL TPBs! Needless to say I'll be taking advantage of those great savings. I already have 13 trades in my shopping cart, and I'm only through the letter "e". Hmm, that's all I've got for now, I should really start to read some comics before I fall into a turkey induced coma. Happy Thanksgiving, and as always, Long Live The Legion!

  1. You can say that again! Being able to buy a $10 comic book for only $6 is great news for my comic book collection, but awful news for my wallet, since I'll probably wind up plunking down money on stuff I normally wouldn't have bothered to buy.

  2. You gotta let us know what trades ya pick up dude. Oh and did you order Teen Titans 77?

  3. That's a LONG list Jason... Good-bye money, hello trades! Once I find out which books are in stock, I'll post what I decided to pick up.

Yep, I most definitely did, it should arrive sometime early next week(hopefully).

  5. Ooo, that's def good to hear. It's been a while since I've been looking forward to an issue of Teen Titans.

  6. Yeah, I'm gonna stop discussing it before I let something slip lol, but the timing is kinda funny.

  7. Well, hopefully tomorrow(Monday)I should be getting my books. If not Mon, I should have my new books in my hands by Tuesday at the latest.

  8. Awesome, hopefully when they come you have time to read and aren't buried in homework.

  9. During this part of the year, I'm always buried in homework! But as you can probably guess by checking out the new reviews I've posted, homework or no, nothing was stopping me from reading BN #5!

  10. Lol I saw, that and Adventure comics, which were two of my favorites of the last week. Im anxious to see what else ya review. Oh and new Ramsay this week right?

  11. Ramsay tommorow(Wednesday)night!!!!!

You wouldn't believe the size of the new comic books pile I have sitting on my nightstand... I'm going to have to really start blitzing through these reviews on this blog just to reduce the size of that pile a little bit.

  12. Oh yeah!!! Can't wait to watch that. So whats on your immediate to read list now?

  13. I think I'll probably check out Dark Wolverine #80, Captain America Reborn #4, then a few of the Blackest Night x-over books(Outsiders, Teen Titans, BN Supes, BN Titans). Of course that could all change depending on what comes in the mail, but right now, that's the plan.

Man was I happy to get myself a Ramsay fix tonight! It was so nice to actually watch an episode of that show that I haven't already seen like 100 times.

  14. Yeah that was a pretty good episode, I definitely got my fill of laughs. Ramsay is one of the most blunt yet hilarious guys to ever walk this earth.

  15. Yeah, Ramsay was his regular crazy self, but what was the deal with that other chef(the best friend of the owner of the restuarant)? Man, that guy was almost as loud and insane as Ramsay!

  16. Whenever someone has Ramsay tendencies whether their with him or against him I always imagine a big meltdown. That's probably why I'm starting to miss Tenille. Does Ramsay ever do follow ups with his Kitchen Nightmare winners on TV? Like show us how Dave is running things at that restaurant?

  17. Nope, sadly I don't think they do any follow-ups for HK. I know there are a few people I'd love to know what they're up to(and yes, Tenille is def one of those people!), but once you leave HK, that's it it seems.

  18. Lol what would you think if Ramsay announced he was taking Tenille on as his apprentice and there was a um...2 hour special I guess of them getting ready for a big opening and all the drama that ensued?

    ReplyDelete
  19. Do you even have to ask what I'd think??? I'd be parked right in front of my TV for those two hours, I can tell you that much!

    ReplyDelete
  20. Lol so you'd watch that show but would you watch a show just with Tenille? And maybe Ramsay in two or three episodes of the season?

    ReplyDelete
  21. As embarrassed as I am to admit this, yes, I would probably watch a show that starred Tenille, even with little to no Ramsay. She was such a basket case that she actually turned out to be one of the better HK contestants in recent memory. She def has the type of charisma to carry her own show. Of course I'd prob have to watch the show on mute, but still.

  22. Lol I'd watch it too to be honest. Ramsay appearances would just be icing on the cake. Plus I can picture her yelling alot as well. I'd definitely check her show out if she ever got one.
