Foiled by history again!

Hey X-maniacs, normally I'd be posting a bunch of shoddy, painfully bad reviews right now, but unfortunately, schoolwork has gotten in the way, so instead of reviewing the comics I read last night, I'll be putting the finishing touches on my history paper. Just so ya know what to expect tomorrow, I'll be posting reviews for BN: JSA #3, BN: Flash #3 and Secret Six #18, which is also a BN x-over. I'll even give you guys a quick preview of what I thought of those three comics, they were OK. Not great, not bad, just OK. Besides that, after I finish up my paper tonight, I'll probably read through a few more Green Arrow comics. I'm up to issue #81, which means that I've read 80 issues of GA over the past few weeks, and I'm really not all that sure what I feel about the series... For the most part, the series was good to extremely good, but at times the comic became a bit too preachy for my tastes... Plus Ollie is a real jackass! Man, I don't know what the hell is wrong with Dinah, because she probably should have kicked him to the curb like 5 different times over the course of that series... Dinah, you can do WAY better for yourself! Once I'm done with the GA series, I'm leaning towards reading Hawkman, because that series didn't run as long as say Aquaman or Robin. And I guess that's going to enough of a break for me. It's time to get back to work. So long, fair well, and Long Live the Legion!

  1. Did I mention that I'm so glad to call myself an "X-Maniac"?

So it's between Robin, Aquaman, and Hawkman? You really can't go wrong.... until you get to the halfway points of all those series and different creators take over.

  2. Who wouldn't be proud to call himself an X-Maniac, Kello? :-)

Well, I have a few other series as well(the Kyle Rayner GL years, the Damage, Ray, Titans series from the 90's, as well as JLA and JSA Classified comics not to mention a few other assorted series...), but I'm definitely going to be starting up one of those series next. I am really tempted to read the Aquaman books though, because of my love for the work of Peter David...

  3. The Titans series by Devin Grayson? That was one of my biggest eBay blunders ever. It's just complete and utter garbage.
