The Random Scan of the Week!

All right, this scan isn't actually random at all, once I saw it I knew I had to post it! From LEGION '95 Annual #5.

  1. Lol please tell me this is a spoof of Arrow and Speedy.

  2. Don't worry, that didn't actually happen, although it did cause me to laugh! I should have posted the GA/Speedy cover as well, and had 'em sit side by side. Oh well.

  3. I love that whenever someone's on drugs Hal will just be the common denominator.

  4. I have to laugh because Hal's always such an ass about it as well! That was what always struck me about the original comic(with GA and Roy)Hal seemed like such a jerk on that cover!

  5. Lol. Okay I was going to feel bad for laughing if this was a serious matter.

Poor little fella, just green as can be. Lol Hal seems like such an ass for saying that.

  6. Hell, even if it was a serious matter, I'd have been laughing my ass off! I'm sorry, but that scene, along with those lines had me rolling!

  7. Why does have he have clown shoes on?

How could it be serious, unless it came first? :P

  8. Lol that's such an asshole way to tell someone their ward or son is on drugs. It's like you knew, waited until you could use it in the most hurtful way possible then said What's your answer to THAT!!! Lol I'm hoping that was Parallax and not Hal.

  9. That baby had those weird clown shoes on all throughout the LEGION series, Nagash. I guess that's the style up there in space...

Thank you JT! I always thought the same thing! I will say this though, inside the comic, I don't think that's how the scene goes down. I don't even think Hal was there when Ollie finds out(although I could be wrong, it's been a while). But yeah, that cover makes Hal look like a real nasty SOB. And no dude, you can always tell when Hal was Parallax by the grey in his hair. No grey equals no Parallax... I think...

  10. Wasn't his hair grey at the beginning of the Ron Marz series though? I'm not sure if there was actually a connection between Parallax and the hair in that case. I was just under the impression that Johns was using Rebirth as an excuse to get rid of the grey so he would look younger again.

  11. Lol. It's way too funny. I mean, how can you even just be so insensitive about that. Lol. Man, it seems like some Comic heroes were soo cruel and ruthless.

  12. Have you guys seen the Superdickery website? Because if you think Hal's comment is a dick move, then you should check out this cover gallery:

    http://superdickery.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=category&layout=blog&id=28&Itemid=45

The website basically collects images from actual comic books (not parodies) where Superman is just being a total dick to his friends for no reason. I read through the entire site every so often, because every time I do I practically fall out of my chair laughing.

  13. Lol. JT used to send me stuff from there all the time. Had me dying. Especially some Superman stuff. I'll have to check that out tomorrow during class, since I don't pay attention lol.

Thanks for the link Marc. :D

  14. Wow. How coincidental is it that Hal is back from his first obvious drug bust & is back for another. Why is he everywhere there is drugs? Are we sure he isn't an undercover narcotics officer? Is it that every young person that is around him turns to drugs because of him? Or is he just trying to score some of his own? You're right. When he is on these busts, he is quite the douchebag. Even more so than the biggest douchebag in the DCU, Guy Gardner. I'm confused. Could someone explain this?

  15. You could be right about the hair Marc, although whenever Hal is possessed by Parallax(like in GA #50)he always tends to have grey hair... I've never checked that site out, after I post this, I'll shoot over there.

I kind of like the idea of Hal operating as a intergalactic narc. I don't think that idea has been done yet.
